New Law Targets Money Laundering at Casinos

Senate Bill 141, sponsored by Senators Larry Obhof and Jim Hughes, gives the Ohio Casino Control Commission new tools to pursue felony charges against those who use Ohio casinos for money-laundering operations. The bill makes structuring transactions at a casino a fifth-degree felony for a first offense and a fourth-degree felony for subsequent offenses.
