Proposal Would Give Commission Oversight of Fantasy Sports, Similar Games

A state lawmaker is proposing new regulations for fantasy sports, pools and other games in Ohio. Legislation introduced by State Senator Bill Coley (R- Liberty Township) would give rule-making authority to the Ohio Casino Control Commission as it relates to fantasy sports leagues, pools and similar games. While for-profit pools are currently illegal in Ohio, Coley believes his proposal will help ensure these types of contests are being conducted in accordance with Ohio law.
