Governor Mike DeWine has declared the month of March to be Problem Gambling Awareness Month, encouraging Ohioans to educate themselves on responsible gambling and the resources available to those with a gambling problem.
Anyone who gambles can develop a problem. Groups at higher levels of risk include young adults, older adults, adolescents, veterans, and racial and ethnic minorities. Individuals new to taking medications for Restless Leg Syndrome or Parkinson’s might also develop a gambling problem.
Ohioans or their family members who need help because of a gambling problem can access quality prevention and treatment services at no cost.
