Legislation that would permit sports wagering in Ohio has been introduced by State Senators John Eklund and Sean O'Brien. Senate Bill 111 would task the Casino Control Commission with oversight of sports wagering and impose a 6.25% tax rate, with revenues being deposited into the state's General Revenue Fund. Wagering would be permitted at designated facilities as well as through a mobile or digital platform.
