Legislation that would permit sports wagering in Ohio has been introduced by State Representatives Dave Greenspan and Brigid Kelly. House Bill 194 would create the Sports Gaming Advisory Board to research and develop recommendations on sports wagering and task the Ohio Lottery Commission with oversight of the industry. The bill imposes a 10% tax rate, with revenues being directed towards K-12 education as well as resources for problem gambling.
